Heavy Rain is not a game with which to flirt. You have to commit to it. There's no reward in trying to thwart it, outsmart it, or even master it. It has its shortcomings — from the actors' dubious American accents to plotholes big enough to drive a Buick through. But the player who engages it in earnest will find an interactive experience of uncommon power. No, it's not quite a game, and it's not quite a movie. It's a dividing line. There was before Heavy Rain, and now there's after.
