Worcester cops: Cirignano should be charged

Bay Windows has the scoop: Worcester police are recommending that Larry Cirignano--the anti-gay marriage stalwart and former executive director of Catholic Citizenship--be prosecuted for allegedly shoving pro-gay marriage Sarah Loy counterprotester to the ground. The alleged incident occurred during a Dec. 16 Worcester rally for VoteonMarriage.org.

The Worcester PD is reportedly recommending assault-and-battery and civil-rights charges against Cirignano.

Good for them.
