Interesting story but I'm glad you kept it short. There comes a point in media criticism where I think many people start writing for their peers and not the average citizen, even the average citizen with a keen interest in how the media works.
I was dreading the prospect you'd do a 4,000 word monster essay on a pol's flack. That would be major overkill and giving Fehrnstrom too much credit.
I mean, to reporters, the guys personality and style matters. But I bet his interaction with the AP guy didn't register with most 'regular' readers or viewers. To them it's just natural that a pol would have some aggressive stuffed shirt as his mouthpiece.
