For the sanguine: this week is your time to shine. For the phlegmatics: you’ll be more efficient on the weekend. For the bilious ones: this is your week to smirk. For the melancholics: this is your week to be whinier than usual. Sometimes I’m sorry I’m not an astrologer during the Elizabethan era, although happy not to deal with open sewers, open sores, and the female oppression. However, I totally understand their world view in terms of partitioning humanity into four basic “types.” Oh, and with Mars in Taurus, this is an excellent month for adding to your art collection, changing financial institutions, or upgrading a wardrobe. Waxing moon in Scorpio. Cut to the chase before the other guy does. Scorpio moons bring out an Edward Scissorhands tendency with folks who confuse bluntness with frankness, as well as Scorpio, Leo, Aquarius, and Taurus. Capricorn, Cancer, and Libra: you may feel an “edge” in your responses. Keep it funny, but be firm if you’ve been holding back. Aries, Gemini, Virgo, and Sagittarius: be charming/spacey and use to your advantage: “I’m sorry, did you say you’d pick up the check? Super — thanks!”

Waxing moon in Scorpio, moon void-of-course 9:55 am until 5:49 pm when it moves into Sagittarius. Stay up late (12:30 am Saturday and after) and you may be able to see “an extremely shallow penumbral lunar eclipse” (according to Sky and Telescope magazine — love them!). It’s not much of an eclipse, just “0.5 arcminute of lunar disk” that slips into the penumbra. Eclipses traditionally portend a fall from grace, so if you’re a Gemini, Taurus, Pisces, Virgo, Leo, or Aquarius, watch your back. Libra, Capricorn, Aries, Sagittarius, Scorpio, or Cancer: be wary of backing the wrong horse.

Full moon in Sagittarius. Good day for planning a trip, or purchasing items relating to hiking, biking, horseback riding, or activities involving wheels or surf. Sagittarius can also make folks restless. Aries, Sagittarius, Libra, and Leo might have a hard time sitting still. Gemini, Virgo, and Pisces: keep moving, as the astrological transits are promoting your “noodgy” side. Capricorn, Cancer, Taurus, and Scorpio: keep your sense of humor because the goofballs have your number.

Waning moon in Sagittarius, moon void-of-course 6:22 am until 5:28 pm when it moves into Capricorn. Memorial Day weekend is a time to loosen up and go somewhere, and the Sagittarius moon underscores that desire, particularly for Aries, Sagittarius, Gemini, and Leo. However, the VOC moon says keep travel plans loose. New friends want to hang with Capricorn, Taurus, Libra, Aquarius, and Virgo. Home may be best for Cancer, Gemini, Pisces, and Virgo.

Waning moon in Capricorn. As much as the holiday is about “chillaxin’,” the Capricorn moon makes worker-bees out of us all. Take on a project that takes a long time to complete. Capricorn, Taurus, Virgo, Aquarius, and Sagittarius: romantic interludes are good for you! Aries, Libra, and Cancer: don’t make things more complicated than they have to be. Leo, Aquarius, Scorpio, and Pisces: others may think you’re more serious than you are.

Waning moon in Capricorn, moon void-of-course 2:40 pm until 5:48 pm when it moves into Aquarius. This day should be a holiday also, don’t you think? Then again, Capricorn moons bring out the work ethic. Capricorn, Aquarius, Sagittarius, and Pisces: make requests of others — they can’t say no! Libra, Cancer, and Aries: hold off on decision-making until tomorrow. Taurus, Virgo, Gemini, and Leo: take time to listen to your instincts, and then follow them.

Capricorn, Taurus, Virgo, and Aries: you could be subject to whims, and (uncharacteristically), not saying what you want.
