It's not simple

By EMILY PARKHURST  |  June 3, 2009

I SUSPECT YOU'VE STRUCK A NERVE WITH WOMEN WHO HAVE HAD SIMILAR EXPERIENCES WITH MEN AND CHILDREN. COULD YOU OFFER ADVICE TO THOSE OF US WHO FIND OURSELVES SO ENTANGLED? Eat more green vegetables? I see the world as a place where the tragic and the comic stroll hand-in-hand, where the sacred and the absurd sit elbow-to-elbow. Having a sense of humor — dark as it may be — is the only way I know how to get through the day.
