If this method is just too much to handle in your impaired state, place all the sauce ingredients, minus the butter, in a blender and blend until fully mixed. Melt the butter, in a Pyrex bowl or measuring cup, in the microwave for 1 minute. Skim off the solids, and while the blender is mixing on high, slowly add the butter in a thin stream. The result is comparable, with a little less fuss.
