Summary: From the city of Providence, Rhode Island, the band Made in Mexico found themselves at the top of the modern no-wave punk scene in 2003 with their debut album, Zodiac Zoo. The band's latest album, Guerillaton, creates a new music that weaves Latin flavor and noise guitar riffs with a visceral reggaeton percussion to generate politically aware songs in a genre that is yet to be defined. With standout tracks like “Yes We Can” and “Viva la Luz” the music of Made in Mexico appeals to Latin and Noise-rock fans alike. The appearance of their songs in the video games Guitar Hero I and II and Rock Band has significantly heightened their profile. An extra bonus for fans of No-wave music is that guitarist Jeff Schneider used to play in the legendary spazz punk band Arab on Radar.
