First-quarter moon in Sagittarius. This is a fabulous time for exhausting games out of doors — though Sagittarius takes more chances than they should (December 6 through 15 archers particularly). Leo is up for romance. With air signs? Especially same-sex ménages (enhanced by Venus and Mars together in Libra). Gemini, you could be touchy, particularly if you feel others haven’t been able to drive at your speed.

This week’s waxing-moon phase offers the following incentive: improve on projects that began at the new moon (August 30), or reverse trends that started at that time. The first quarter (September 7) is a turning point for all. Air and fire signs will be the happiest then. This is also a great time to look at the moon through binoculars, as you can see the crusty shadowy edges of the Mares slowly being revealed. As the moon between signs, it will sometimes become "void of course," and make no major angles to planets. Consider this a null time and try to avoid decision-making or implementing decisions if you can. It is an excellent period for creativity, unexpected encounters, and quirky outcomes.
