Mix ’n’ mashup

By CHRIS CONTI  |  April 23, 2008

But It Was the Best of Times took the title on a unanimous decision by the three judges, and deservedly so. I asked lead guitarist Bob Jack what’s next and how the victory might expedite future plans.

“I doubt anything will change much for us, in terms of getting the EP out any faster or whatever,” Jack said, humble and seemingly unaffected while packing up gear. “We’re just glad we got to play out live. We never thought we would get to the finals, but I thought it went really well.” Next on the Best of Times docket is a May 4 gig in Auburn, Massachusetts, and from there, well, who knows. You can keep track of their progress at myspace.com/itwasthebestoftimes.
