Local heavy-hitters and pavement-pounding veterans fill the pre-Turkey Day week ahead. On THURSDAY (the 19th), omnipresent six-string slinger MARK CUTLER brings all-star friends along to the Greenwich Hotel (401.884.4200), 21+ and no cover all night. And Jerky's Bar delivers a triple-bill starting with Newport-based rockers THE DIEPODS (put their new self-titled debut on your Xmas wishlist) with '90s indie pioneers BACKWASH and local legends SCARCE (!) headlining. FRIDAY (the 20th) highlights include JEFF PITCHELL & TEXAS FLOOD bringing their acclaimed blues down south to the Ocean Mist (401.782.3740), and a pair of hot shows in the Bucket; Fall Rivuh's PISTOL SHOT GYPSY rock out at Cat's (401.722.0150) and the Blackstone hosts ROUTE. 44 with locals THE WIPPETS, NYC's ANALOGUE TRANSIT, and Beantown's MEMBERS OF MORPHINE: THE ELASTIC WASTE BAND, featuring former members Dana Colley (sax) and Jerome Deupree (drums) performing classic Mark Sandman cuts as well as their own brand of "psycho-Delta blues." And get your appetite up on Thanxgiving Eve (the 25th) when freshly-baked jam bands FUNGUS AMUNGUS and MAX CREEK hit Lupo's (401.331.5876); show starts at 9:30 pm, $15 at the door.
