Since the CVS Charity Classic is a yearly highlight in Little Rhody, pulled together by two of the most popular players on the Tour, the anti-pol/lobbyists Brad Faxon and Billy Andrade, if you don’t know a wedge from a wedgie you’re probably having trouble following the courtroom action. Not that you shouldn’t have enough time, as P+J’s ringsiders say that paint drying is faster and more exciting.
P+J did guffaw, however, at the defense attorneys for CVS dealmakers Jack Kramer and Carlos Ortiz claiming that former state senator John “My Sharona” Celona actually earned his stipend from Tom Ryan’s joint through his electrifying can’t-miss cable TV show, The Celona State House Report. It is quite obvious that the only viewer of this dazzling piece of infotainment was a monkey whose remote channel changer got stuck on it while he was channel surfing in search of reruns of Lancelot Link, Secret Chimp.
P+J are looking for more big yucks based upon such desperate claims by the defense to keep their clients out of the can, even if the audience in the courtroom sets a record for yawning. Hey, boredom! That could be a good topic for the next Celona State House Report!
