And here's the verse part

The rivalry continues

I think it was Bashō who said, "Yankees suck three ways. So hard. So bad. Wicked bad."

On second thought, it may have been SNL's Seth Myers. But, surely, had the great poet of the Tokugawa shogunate been aware of the pernicious Pinstripers — who arrive at Fenway for the first time this season on Friday — he would have daubed his brush pen in blackest ink, using the pellucid lyric verse he pioneered to poke fun at the team we all love to hate. Yes, it's time for an abridged version of the Phoenix's annual April tradition: Sox-Yanks haiku.

Mirror, mattress, lips.
Is it A-Rod or Gisele
In that magazine?

CC and A.J.
May come to regret pitching
In a wind tunnel.

Wang's ERA asks:
What's the Chinese character
For infinity?

Jorge Posada
Makes up in nose for what he
Is lacking in chin.

Yankee Stadium:
The house that taxpayers built.
Many suites for suits.
