Surprised by it, but OK with it. After all, you don’t want a slowster like Wake allowing speed demons like the Angels to wreak havoc on the base paths. I’m just surprised and — and a little impressed — at the unsentimentality of the move. I’d just assumed Tito would give him the nod. Now let’s just hope Lester can keep that sharp curve under control and not walk a bunch of guys who’ll steal bags at will.

I probably would have taken Tavarez over Cash, but what can you do? Hard to imagine either playing much of a role.
