The RISD Museum traces the history of art from antiquity to the present through its collection of more than 80,000 works of art in all media from many cultures. The museum features recently renovated galleries in the Pendleton House, the earliest example of an "American wing" in any museum. Guided tours led by RISD students on Sat and Sun at 2 pm, free with admission. Open Tues through Sun from 10 am to 5 pm, and on every third Thurs of the month until 9 pm. Admission $8, $5 for seniors, $3 for students, $2 for children five through 18. Free on Sun from 10 am to 1 pm, on the third Thurs of the month from 5 to 9 pm, and on the last Sat of the month.
