Stretching along two miles of New Hampshire coastline, this is the mostly land-locked state's largest public waterfront area, featuring free nightly entertainment, movie theaters, and tours. The Hampton Beach shoreline offers everything from rocky tide pools and gentle waters to a stronger surf. The Hampton State Beach RV park offers saltwater fishing and a public dock. Snack bars, arcade games, and restaurants occupy the boardwalk. First-aid station, bathhouses, and restrooms available. Metered parking $1.50 per hour, lots $5 to $10.

A perfect beach for swimming and picnicking. Lifeguards on duty. Bathhouse and restrooms available. Open from May 25 to Labor Day. Metered parking $1.50 per hour. Admittance fee $3.

The shoreline is expansive at low tide but almost swallowed by the high tide. A family-oriented beach featuring picnicking and hot-water showers. Lifeguards on duty from 9 am to 5 pm. Open daily through Labor Day. Parking $10.
