Richard Russo
This big-time author, who lives and writes in Camden, got rave reviews for his latest tome, Bridge of Sighs, published by Knopf last year. His Pulitzer Prize-winning Empire Falls was made into an HBO miniseries and filmed right in Maine. Plus, he’s rumored to be a really nice, mild-mannered guy. He may be from away (Russo’s an upstate-New York native), but we think he’s a keeper.
