State senators to endorse Rudy?

Hotline OnCall says that Massachusetts senate minority leader Richard Tisei will endorse Rudy Giuliani for President this week, along with either one or two other GOP state senators -- out of the five total.

This would be a huge embarrassment to Romney, although not a big deal in practical terms. Then again, Hotline spelled Tisei's name wrong, so maybe their sources aren't perfect.

The only Massachusetts state Republicans that Mr. Guiliani has are those who are extremely liberal on social issues. Former Mass. Senate minority leader, Senator Brian Lees' action {calling for a vote for adjournment of the 2004 Mass. constitutional convention before taking a vote on whether or not to send a citizen's referendum defining marriage as a union of one man and one woman to the ballot} was harshly chastised by the Mass. Supreme Judicial Court. This was a huge victory for Gov. Romney and tradtional family advocates. Gov. Romney had requested the Mass. Supreme Judicial Court to decide on whether or not the state legislature had to OBEY THE CONSTITUTION and "MUST VOTE". Those few Mass. state Republicans who support Mr. Guiliani are those who rode roughshod over our constiution in favor of the homosexual agenda. These unprincipled Mass. state Republicans are a warning to the rest of the party of what we don't want to be. The special interest lobby cannot be allowed to own our state and federal representatives at risk of their constitutional duties and responsibilies. I won't be surprised is Mr. Guiliani soon disassociates himself from these losers.
