This is electability?


Pardon the implied profanity, but what the f--- is Tom Reilly doing?

Yeah, rank-and-file Democrats might forget this debacle by the primary election. The memory of the Conte controversy could fade away, too. But the rationale for Reilly's candidacy--that he's an unexciting but safe candidate--has taken yet another hit. Before long, that argument's going to lose all credibility.

Deval Patrick must be doing backflips right now.

For all his milquetoast mannerisms, he actually seems to act quite arrogantly. He seems to assume whatever he does (like his double boners on the anti-SSM petitions) is fine and right.

Well, to many, it's not okay. He doesn't look like a leader at all.

So now he's picked Marie St. Fleur! I wonder if we'll read that she's dropped out in a few days if there's negative reaction there too.

It's a choice that raises even more questions. Hadn't St. Fleur already endorsed someone? And to what extent is he just using her to attract voters of color away from Patrick? I live in St Fleur's district, and she's done rather little. She's loved by liberals who don't deal with her directly, but those who work with her, liberal or otherwise, tend not to be too impressed wtih her lack of leadership.
