Gotlieb Panel Tonight

BU's Howard Gotlieb Archival Research Center has put together an impressive panel this evening for a discussion of media and politics -- and invited me too. John Carroll, who you probably know from WGBH's Greater Boston, is moderating, and the panel includes Newsweek's Jonathan Alter; NPR's Tom Ashbrook; Renee Loth of the Globe; Ida E. Lewis, former editor of Essence; columnist Debra Saunders; and Ernie Suggs of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. And me.

It's at the Tsai Performance Center, at 6:30; come check it out.

who is going to ask you about faking stories? using bad sources? or are you going to hide from the truth? do they have an award for writing untrue stories?

I am reading this issue with your coverage about the tourism program and sen.murray. I would like to hear the other side. Also I think there probably should be an investigation into the people that gave you information.

I have lost my complete confidence in the press to report the truth. It is apparant that you owe some people an apology.

Is AWOL David S. Bernstein out to lunch or on vacation or or WHAT?

This has to be one of the most heated and closest battle for the democratic ticket on the national level in many years and there hasn't been a single "Talking Politics" entry since Monday, February 25, 2008; a full 10 days ago!

David, is this an unpaid 'volunteer job' for you hear at thephoenix.com or something like that?
