Marzilli Switches Chambers

Congratulations to Jim Marzilli for winning the special election yesterday to become state senator, after 16 years in the lower chamber. Is Marzilli now the biggest lefty in the senate? Or does that honor reside with his Middlesex neighbor Pat Jehlen? Other nominees?

They will both vote the same way. But at least Senator-Elect Marzilli is smart and will deliver for his district. Senator Jehlen has no idea how to get things done, choose her battles, and emerge as a serious and thoughtful legislator. This is what Senator-Elect Marzilli did the House, while Senator Jehlen's years in the House were marked by a "loony-left" instead of "smart liberal" manner.
