Gov's race: videos for the losers

If you're like me, you can only read so many firsthand reports from polling places before you get a bit bored. So let's try something different, shall we?

Obviously, two of the three Democratic candidates for governor are done after today. Now, here in America we love to create video montages--slo-mo highlights of some just-concluded experience, set to some kind of sad/inspirational music.

Here's my question: for each of the three candidates, which tune would go best with their I'm-a-loser montage? And which highlights would you include?

For Tom Reilly, I'll propose "My Way," sung by Frank Sinatra. Images should include him scolding Gabrieli in the penultimate debate, but also a highlight or two from the final debate, which he pretty much won. Also, we'd need him standing in front of the Watertown apartment.

Other thoughts?

"Money Can't buy me love" will be playing in the background as throngs of voters are dancing around Deval Patrick and your boy Gabrieli pouts in the background, fat wallet prominently visible.

Roger, I swear to God that the moniker "[my] boy" doesn't fit when my=me and Gabrieli=boy! Haven't we discussed this already?!?

That said, I like your song selection and the fat wallet idea.

The Rolling Stones "You Can't Always Get What You Want" would make a great montage soundtrack for Gabs, but we should make it bigger. Instead of just shots from the 2006 campaign, how about a supermontage of great moments from all of his campaigns. Before showing his reaction shots when he finds out he has lost, or lost AGAIN, you could flash a graphic of "RESULTS." This last campaign should be a message to Chris, nice guy though he is, that he should take the advice of Mick and the boys: "You can't always get what you want/But if you try sometimes you might find/You get what you need" In this case need = the reality that you are a better policy guy than candidate, millions and all, and everyone but you knows it.
