Remembering Mr. Butch

VIDEO: The Kenmore Square folk hero on life and death, in music and words

Harold "Mr. Butch" Madison, the self-proclaimed King of Kenmore Square, died July 12, 2007 of injuries sustained in a scooter crash. He was, by various accounts, in his late 50s. COMMENTS

I was exploring Allston these past few days, both physically and reading about it online. Last night, I first heard of Mr. Butch, and read everything online about him. It was my intention to find and meet him some time this week, but now it seems that my potential friend to be will not be. It is a strange world.
