Street art is fascinating enough on it’s own but, given it’s ephemeral nature, the act of photographing it is essential. And sometimes a photograph of street art, when it’s from an interesting angle or incorporates experiments with color, light, and/or contrast, is a piece of art in itself. Annie Ridlon, of Moontree Studios in Jamaica Plain, writes on her Flickr page:

WWD reports today that MIA, who's been the face of Marc Jacobs as of late (about that, she says in the article: "The whole time I was doing that campaign I was like, 'Does Marc Jacobs
know who I am? He didn't let me into his parties and
stuff six months before.'"), has started her own clothing line.

And speaking of not detoxing, here's more shizzle from the Interwebs. Garfield Minus Garfield
is exactly how it sounds: the lonely, depressing tale of John Arbuckle
or, as the GMG mastermind puts it: "Who would have guessed that when
you remove Garfield from the Garfield comic strips, the result is an

Snaith's self-created, kaleidoscopic light projections led to even trippier photos, and I increased the level of color-smashed artiness in Photoshop to make 'em extra far out for ya.

Originally, music was a part-time gig, pursued on the side while Snaith taught and pursued a PhD in math.

Yes, I know, I should rename this whole street art series something like "Sporadic Street Art Updates," or "Sometimes daily street art." Let's just say I'm using the term loosely. This weekend I plan on visiting my favorite street art-related spot in town: the Wall in Central Square, so I can capture some photo updates of what's going there.

DOWNLOAD: Aloud, "Fan the Fury" (mp3)
It might not seem that much has changed between Aloud’s debut full-length, Leave Your Light On, and their sophomore album, Fan the Fury. The band still traffic in bluesy power pop, which still centers on the guy-girl lead vocals of childhood chums/collaborators Henry Beguiristain and Jen de la Osa.
