My favorite room in the gallery combines three works in the same subdued palette: "No One's Ever Seen Them," "A Square Measured Off," and "Or What." Although this sounds like a cliché, the works do talk to each other. It is worth sitting down on one of Duane Paluska's chairs as a silent participant, just letting the conversation happen. Within the narrowly defined restrictions that gave rise to their creation, these paintings appear utterly self-contained and posit that everything is the way it should be. You just may come around to their view-point.
