The acting here is on the money in every instance, down to the eye-blink-length appearance of the maid, Edna (Valerie Westgate). But a special kudo goes to Petronio as the good inspector, for delicately portraying a character who could have come across as smug or strident but instead conveys thoughtful concern.
The ending throws us a curve ball, one that is impossible to foresee, so don't bother trying to anticipate it as the story unfolds. Just lean back, follow the instructions about social responsibility, and be thankful that our fellow Americans didn't vote in an administration that would have hampered Medicaid.
