Even if you haven’t had time to visit your local farmers’ market lately — hey, what are you waiting for? — you can still support the Federation of Massachusetts Farmers’ Markets. Just head to Bistro 5 (5A Playstead Road, Medford) on October 23, at 6:30 pm. That’s when the restaurant hosts “Savor the Seasonings,” the fifth annual fall benefit dinner for the FMFM. The four-course menu of local products includes carrot-vanilla soup, pumpkin risotto, and locally raised meat, along with wine; a silent auction will also be held.
