A taste of wine, women, and shoes

April 27
By TAMARA WIEDER  |  April 25, 2007
Two great events, one great cause: Wine 101 and Wine, Women & Shoes. Both benefit the Virginia Thurston Healing Garden in Harvard, Massachusetts, and both are held at the Back Bay Events Center (180 Berkeley Street, Boston). Wine 101, on April 27, from 6 to 8 pm, is a wine-tasting and wine-education event featuring seven women vintners from Napa, along with hors d’oeuvres and a raffle. The cost is $50. On April 28, at 7:15 pm, it’s Wine, Women & Shoes, at which the vintners team up with some of Boston’s best chefs for an evening of food, drink, and fashion, emceed by WBZ-TV’s Lisa Hughes. The cost is $150 ($250 includes a VIP reception, which begins at 6:15 pm). For either event, call 978.456.3532 or visit healinggarden.net for information and tickets.
