As Johnny Most once said, “Swish!” Another Gay Sequel: Gays Gone Wild! puts one up and in (or several up and several in), fulfilling its mission to be a campy, smutty, neon-hued, extremely silly good time. Todd Stephens brings back the characters from Another Gay Movie for a homo-erotic Where the Boys Are (Jonah Blechman returns as ingénue Nico, joined by three new faces). The lithe lads jet to Fort Lauderdale with the battle cry “Gay spring break till our booties ache!” Nico and Andy are psyched about the Gays Gone Wild competition — the one with the most bedpost notches wins — but how will monogamous couple Griff and Jarod handle the temptation? Debates over love versus lust are summed up by Andy’s dad (Scott Thompson): “You have to decide whether to follow your heart or your hole.” Meanwhile, evil frat boys try to put our team out of action (cheesy animated crabs!), Nico falls for a merman, and a surprisingly deft Perez Hilton (playing himself) finds religion and becomes a beach-party buzzkill. 90 minutes | Kendall Square [Closes September 25]

  •   REVIEW: LIKE CRAZY  |  November 01, 2011
Like Crazy is hooked onto a series of plot points — the bureaucratic hassles wrought by Londoner Anna's impulsive decision to overstay her student visa so she can remain in LA with boyfriend Jacob — yet it's quintessentially character-driven.
