And, for the record, the T&F remains Poorman's focal point — brace yourselves, diehard Hot Rod Circuit fans. I had to inquire about another HRC reunion tour.

"No sir, the Hot Rod thing is done," he replied. "I'm not saying we won't play a show here or there if we feel the timing is right, but we have no plans and there have been no further discussions. The reunion tour was a great time with great friends, and that's all we wanted from that."

I asked Poorman if he and his Tower mates were ready for the media buzz that could (and should) accompany this album.

"We take all of that in stride, and don't really worry about who says what," he said. "We are still in the honeymoon phase where it's still just fun to make music with friends. We aren't trying to be the 'next big thing.' We are happy writing and playing the music that naturally comes out of us, and I think that is good enough for all of us."
