Mann expressed his enthusiasm playing this short tour alongside Cap'n Jazz guitarist Victor Villarreal. Mann connected with Villareal through Willow's booking agent, who happens to be a mutual friend. "We've always been influenced by his guitar playing and growing up, so this was an awesome and especially fitting opportunity for us, plus we are playing to new audiences who dig this particular genre."

Mann sounded genuinely enthused about the direction of Willow, with plans to cut another record early next year. "We view this band as a pretty dynamic project, so each release will have a different feel and direction," he said. "As a label and as a band, we're trying to push originality of music and the means of what a DIY label can really do."

I have been eagerly anticipating this record since catching drummer Melanie Fuest, singer/guitarist Shannon Le Corre, and bassist Nicole Lagace in action a dozen or so times over the past year.
