Can classical be underground?

JAY BASINER, a/k/a J BIDDY, has a new name for his band, THIS WAY, and they'll release their new debut disc, We Could All Make History, with a December 12 show at the Empire. The band were at one time called CROSSFIRE INFERNO, but their sound has progressed to a point, said Biddy, that it's really not the same band anymore.

Correction: Tarpigh’s CD-release party – with Big Blood, Micah Blue Smaldone, Crank Sturgeon, and many others playing songs from the band’s catalog – is at 8 pm at the Meg Perry Center on November 29. Free CD with $10 donation.
