And go back there and get lucky on FRIDAY (the 13th) with a genre-sweeping triple-bill headlined by psych-rockers HEMLOK, along with gypsy-funk act TEVELLUS and Boston-based tribal ensemble INCUS opening, complete with belly dancers shaking their groove thing between sets, all for only $5 — call 401.726.2181. Jerky's Bar (401.621.2244) kicks off the weekend with an 18-plus mash-up roster led by Burriville's JOINT DAMAGE, with Boston's CRIMSON BILE and DRAGGED UNDER opening. Or head to the Greenwich Hotel for a free dose of Americana rock 'n' roll with DAN LILLEY & LOVETRAIN (401.884.4200). SATURDAY (the 14th) is the unofficial jumpoff for St. Paddy's Day weekend warriors, with a variety of shows to accompany the green grog, including local Celtic specialists THE GNOMES (how can you not love an album title like Everybody Must Get Gnomed?) visit Church of the Mediator in Providence (between Elmwood and Reservoir avenues), call 401.461.3683. Also, BRASS ATTACK stays busy, first infiltrating the Hi-Hat (401.453.6500) on Saturday before opening for the legendary MACEO PARKER on the 17th at Lupo's. And for a refreshing twist, pro-fanity-free rap duo DIRTYDURDIE rock the mic at AS220 in an all-ages gig (401.831.9327). On SUNDAY (the 15th), Club Hell hosts a solid lineup with Cali's Mike Silverman aka THAT 1 GUY and his "Magic Pipe" harp/upright bass contraption, with New Bedford prog-rockers BAYLIES BAND and MIKE MOUNTAIN opening (401.709.3923). And the green flows at Blackstone River Theatre when Celtic stalwarts PEN-DRAGON perform, tix are $18 at the door (401.725.9272).
