Yari Osorio, the vice presidential candidate for the PSL (Party for Socialism and Liberation), will be visiting the campus of Rhode Island College at 4 pm on Friday to take part in a political forum being held at that school's Alger Hall. It's part of the "Diversity Is a Way of L.I.F.E." conference organized by Casa Diablo regular, Reza Clifton, the award-winning writer, producer, and "cultural navigator." Another speaker at the conference will be the legendary Angela Davis. And if you don't know who Angela Davis is, you probably don't remember an era we like to call the '60s.

Expect a wholly different vision for America at this conference. It will be well worth your while.

WHERE IS CAROLYN FOX?

Jorge (Rudy Cheeks) can't tell you how many times people have approached him in the past decade to ask what ever happened to his former radio partner at WHJY, Carolyn Fox. Until recently, Carolyn was living quietly (well, quietly for Carolyn) in Massachusetts, running her own insurance agency.

Now that the kids are grown and out of the house, Carolyn has relocated to New York City and, while still running the insurance agency, is back on the air. She's doing a show Tuesday and Friday from 9 am to noon on WBCN's Internet outlet. She's happy to be back hosting again and, if you've been missing her all these years, give it a listen.

Send a parachute and Pulitzer-grade tips to p&j@phx.com.

Rhode Island’s newly-christened Speaker of the House, Rep.
