On racelifting

By SHAY STEWART-BOULEY  |  April 25, 2012

White folks already get most of the roles. So it's already annoying to people of color when white people are cast in roles to play minorities or characters of color are recast as white, because that further depletes already scarce opportunities for good actors of color.

As such, I think y'all can stand to have a few of your characters racelifted to compensate. I suspect Samuel L. Jackson will make a hell of a lot better Nick Fury that just about any middle-aged or older grizzled white guy, with the possible exception of Harvey Keitel. And I'll bet Harvey, who co-starred with Sam in Pulp Fiction, would give Sam the nod anyway.
