Now, "Maine is doing pretty well in developing career paths," says OppME president Cliff Ginn, referring to the fact that the energy bill makes explicit connections between state energy goals and the Maine Department of Labor. "What Maine is not doing is making any new long-term investment in efficiency. It's difficult for Maine to apply for federal grants when we're not doing our part to invest ...We need to show that we're committed to a long-term strategy."
