Elon Höglund manipulated one woman, pushing her limbs one by one into new positions; then he was beset by her and another woman. Daniel Mayo arrived through the audience arguing with someone on a cell phone. Arriving on stage, he found one of the women alone, and he seemed attracted to her. Their duet was more in synch than the others, but it too had its moments of contention.
After that, duet followed duet, with all three couples periodically appearing together in frozen geometric capsules of light, until Quijada and Plamondon were alone again. For a moment, they held each other, perhaps to put an end to the sliding, breaking-apart, role-switching ambiguity. Then she retreated into the darkness, as if to say, "What did you do?"
