Convincing arguments might be made that Eric Vaughn's aluminum photo collage is a portrait, a mannequin, or a short film. It's awesome regardless, recalling our era's fledgling capacities of 3D web design and starting the conversation for a new form of storytelling.
Symptoms of power are dissected by Anne Buckwalter and Manjiree Manolkar, the former with a spacious gouache series, the latter a buffet of mesmerizing media forms. Add to their works Wendy Love's intimate watercolor collages and the mechanistically vibrant assemblages of Mike Lewis — all of whom deserve far more attention than is available here — and you'll have one of the strongest and fundamentally diverse student exhibits of recent memory, where virtually all entries reward long, thoughtful critique.
