DOES THE IDEA OF THE DESCENT LINE UP WITH YOUR EXPERIENCE OF GOING TO THE GATHERING? Yeah. Here were all these people having a really great time rapping along with songs about killing assholes. It was fascinating to me, but it wasn't like I needed to purge myself of all these negative emotions. It felt a little like in being a Juggalo, people assume you are a murderous crazy person, so you're like yeah, I'm a murderous crazy person. I thought of it almost like an identity, like a negative identity. But it's also positive because it's a shared identity. It's a real interesting way to be.
