Though we couldn't sample the lunch sandwiches, I can report that five are listed as "customer favorites"; there are three burgers among those with either added cheese and bacon, cheese and ham or grilled ham, onions, and peppers. The other two faves are Rick's Delight (turkey and ham with melted cheese on a bulkie roll) and Bob's Special, a skinless, boneless chicken breast with melted cheese, plus bacon, lettuce, tomato and mayo. A BLTCC!
There are clubs, salads, and regular sandwiches (Bill would have chosen the corned beef or the grinder), plus hot dogs, grilled cheese variations, and fries ($1.75) subbed for chips (always a plus with Bill). Take-out charges are $.25 per order, but there's no extra charge for egg beaters in the omelets ($1.25 for egg whites only).
One last breakfast tip: order the homemade corned beef hash extra crispy and don't turn down those coffee refills. Our friendly waitress, recognizing that we were newcomers, apologized for the morning rush, but I'm always thrilled to see busyness at a small business, especially one that's already lasted 20 years. We want another 20!
