True, Nolan again errs, narratively, on the side of excess, as he did with Inception — except here with subplots instead of dream-within-a-dream overkill. But he saves the day with fulfilling resolutions and double-taking twists that are highly satisfying. The Dark Knight rises, and it was a woman who showed the way.
