Also the Phoenix receieved a note from Joanna Marinova of Press Pass TV stating the following: "It [The Voices Behind the Wall] was not "critical of the Massachusetts DOC" but actually was an anti-violence message from the men behind the wall to dissuade youth from choosing the wrong path. The retaliation there was from the guards because the men were empowering themselves and that was seen as dangerous not because they spoke out against the administration (that came later)."
