'Fun guy rap'

By CHRIS CONTI  |  June 16, 2010

Romen Rok flexes the novel wordplay and concepts of a Master Ace (see “Any Word” and “Einstein’s Dream”), and latter-half cuts like “Rotate” and the first single, “Laughter” (with singer Gavin Castleton), brim with positive energy.

Rok told me another solo album is “already in the works” and he will be featured on the next ProTown vinyl compilation, due out by the end of the summer. Click on RomenRok.blogspot.com for the latest Rahlo happenings, including future (must-see) show dates.

“I plan to incorporate more costumes for the live shows,” Rok said following the recent release party. “I used to work for Big Nazo and my homey Erminio [Pinque, Big Nazo founder and director] opened me up to the world of costume performance.

“I wanna collaborate with him soon to rock some crazy shit onstage.”
