Either way, Marz is well-aware of the difficulties behind soliciting financial support.

"We are supposedly at the 'tail end' of a historical recession that effected everyone from the club owners to the bartenders to the door guy, and ultimately the bands," he said.

"In my opinion it's extremely difficult to make a living just by playing out locally, because getting paid from some of these venues is like pulling teeth sometimes," Marz continued. "It's not like the old days when guys like Randy [Hein] from the Living Room would seek you out to pay you something."

The ongoing plan involves writing more new material for a 2011 release while booking more shows across the Northeast corridor and beyond.

"We're lucky in that we have never had a problem getting a positive response when we play out of state," he said.

"We usually win over a room, and we're pretty confident in what we do."
