• Take note that sometimes-Mainers GUSTER have a song prominently displayed in the hard-to-avoid Target holiday ad campaign. Good for them.

• Have you heard BILLY LIBBY's new Little Bird EP yet? Released back in October by New Wheel Music in NYC, it's a beautiful little acoustic number he's using to create some buzz for a full-length he's got planned for the new year. Consider us buzzed. The former EVEN ALL OUT/WHY HELLO singer remains a huge talent who demands attention when he plays a room. Find the new work on Bandcamp.

THEODORE TREEHOUSE release their first full-length next week with a show at SPACE. Mercury: Closest to the Sun should have plenty of indie pop to please anyone who loves winsome vocals and jangledy guitars. They're joined by PHANTOM BUFFALO and BRENDA.

GYPSY TAILWIND front-guy DAN CONNOR has plans to release a solo record in pieces over the next six months or so. You can find the first piece on Gypsy Tailwind's Web site starting this week, which some discs to follow in Bull Moose sometime in the near future. Connor is backed on these songs by Gypsy's CHRIS DOW on drums, Rustic/Paranoid bassist JON ROODS, BEN TROUT on mandolin, Nashville session guy ADAM AGATI on electric guitar, ANDREW DOODY on sax, and even a brief vocal turn from Gypsy front-gal ANNA LOMBARD.
