February
Boston already has plenty of indie, electro, and hip-hop weeklies, but on February 4, it gets an underground metal night courtesy of Zack Wells's Born of Fire. The inaugural party at O'Brien's features live shots by scene stalwarts Motherboar and Phantom Glue; revolving weeknights remain permanently corrugated. Socked in the middle of the month, the week-long, citywide Together festival gives Boston an electronic-music destination event, welcoming internationals like Sinden and Dirty Bird while showcasing local aces Hot Pink Delorean, Die Young, and Shuttle.
