July
Garage trio Girlfriends kick off July with the gripping Gov't Seizure seven-inch, then set off on a 44-gig tour across the country. Owners Kate Biggar and Wayne Rogers shift to mail order and a focus on their band, Major Stars. The Paradise Rock Club closes for summer renovations, to reopen in September with a relocated stage (better pole position!) and legal capacity that will climb toward 999.
