Also a factor was the Best of 00-10 compilation Ladytron issued in March, which wrapped up and "recontextualized" their previous work. Hunt calls it "a line in the sand." Gravity was clearly approached with a clean slate and fresh mindset, which could explain the very pronounced lack of dance floor bangers. For "Ace of Hz," which first surfaced on the best-of before anchoring Gravity, the Tiesto and Punks Jump Up remixes have given DJs enough to work with in the clubs. "There is enough dance music in the world," Hunt says. "If we want to make a dance record, we'll go to the remixers."
