Like many musicians of limited means, he's clear-eyed about his experience busking for throngs of MBTA commuters. "It was an audience, y'know?" he says. "It's one thing to get 20 of your friends to go to a show, or tell your whole family to come to a show and blah, blah, blah. But if you want an honest opinion, go play at Park Street station. You'll get a good idea how people feel about what you're doing."
