Still, there's nothing the members of Liars like more than a challenge. "We've never been a band that's trying to replicate the songs from the CD identically live," Gross says. "They have a home recorded, and then they have a different home when playing live. It's like experimenting — we put ourselves back at ground zero almost as if we're a band starting out for the first time."
