Callery cited "Little Bird That Is Your Name" as her favorite song on the new EP; it's dedicated to her daughter Ava, whose name means "little bird."

"She is a grown woman now, and it has been quite the year with her going off to college," Callery said.

This has also been quite a year for Callery professionally, having scooped up the (long overdue) Best Singer/Songwriter title in our annual Best Music Poll, as voted by our readers.

"I was totally blown away. I really don't think of myself as being popular or making the kind of music that wins contests," Callery humbly offered, "so it really meant a lot to me.

"I am a Rhode Island native, so it feels good to be accepted and welcomed at home."
